But cannot open file into voice reader from email like for other Apps.

This is the best app of its kind out there!!! It really is the most natural sounding reading app!

Ever since iOS 8 the app crashes all the time. The last position in the text is not saved either and it is pain to find the location manually. The current version is a year old - you can do better than this surely!

But why no Mandarin Chinese or Hindi voices? Two of the most spoken languages in the world! F. Jacquart, mtl, Canada

Dont waste your money False advertising Not worth anything This App is Crap What a disappointment If you buy this app you will never use it It took me less than a minute to find out this app was garbage I dont want my money back , the pain of losing it will teach me to be more carefull in selecting apps My first mistake was this app had no reviews yet , other than the one that the publisher probably put in. I guess I got the shellacking I deserved. PART 2 Wow I finally copied an email to it to be read . Can you remember the first computer to speech twenty years ago ? It sounded like a terrible accent from a finlander. Well this one sounds like a super strong German accent so bad you cannot understand it unless youre reading along with it . The 2 bucks is worth the laugh alone. You wont believe how funny it sounds. I may keep it just for a good laugh now and then. That about the only value it has !

Only tried French and English voices. Very high quality natural sound.

This is a very good tool at a great price. The extra voices are inexpensive and of very good quality. I use it every day.

Yes it does work with PDF, but it basically copy and paste the text into its own interface. For me I work very well to use this app with good reader (annotations, bookmarks, native PDF viewing ...) Must pay each voice 0,99$ for offline usage. Bottom line : Good voice quality, works in the background, and use native "iPod controls". A good value !

Juist downloaded it and got one offline voice for .99 and it does read PDF file. It reads them well. kind of sounds like Stephen Hawking but I can unerstand it. I wish ther was a feature to just tap to where you want it to start reading because with a large book, it takes a bit to get past the introduction and the table of contents. There is a button to fast forward, it helps, but it would be nice to just tap to where you want it to start. I also wish the reader could remember where it left off when you close it and open another book because when you close it and come back to the same book, you have to start back at the very beginning and fast forward to the part where you closed it and when you have a book that is 800 pages long, it can take forever to get back to where you left off because the fast forward is certainly faster than letting it re-read all the way there, but it isnt actually "fast" forward...its just faster than reading it to where left off. Maybe even a pin/bookmark would help you to instantly go back to the place you left off in a book you were reading. For the money, this is exactly what i was looking for. I will give 5 stars though because with some updates, this app will be awesome.Get this app, it does what it says. 5 stars!

Please make it read Word texts too!! I would not need anything else :)

I was searching for an app to read out PDFs. This app does not have the desired functionality, it does not read PDF natively they must be converted first. And this conversion doesnt work all the spaces are removed form one big word.

All I wanted was an app to read PDFs while I am driving. This app got good reviews so I bought it. I am quite disappointed. First, the only way I have found to get a PDF into this app is thru Safari. I emailed the developer for help, but simply could not understand their response. I decided not to waste anymore time on the support. Second, when I finally managed to get a **short** PDF book into it, it says it was too long for the online voices (huh?!) and it has decided to truncate my book! It gave me a one minute and thirty five minute reading. So i got to hear the book title, authors name, publisher and copyright info. Uh, gee, thanks. It suggested I use an offline voice if I actually want to hear the PDF. Guess what? You have to pay for an offline voice! Now Im feeling a bit cheated. Maybe Im doing something wrong, maybe this app (as purchased) is not capable of doing what I wanted it for, or maybe its just very unintuitive. Whatever. Im done with it and would like my money back. Look elsewhere for an app to read PDFs. This one is a waste of time/money.

I regret after purchasing it. lot more need to be done to improve this application.

Excellent in every way. Handles large text and produce excellent quality spoken word. I only wish app icon did not have sexy lady image as that is embarrassing to me to have on my phone... generic business style icon would be nice.

Im working and going to school full-time and this app has saved my life by allowing me to listen to my textbooks while I commute and exercise and do the dishes and everything!

What a waste if I have to manually retype everything in!!!

After buying the app, I copied and pasted a long text to be read to be. Then it tells me that its too long and that I need an offline voice, which I am not too picky, so ok. Still, I didnt remember reading that there was a text limit, so I was a little disappointed. Then, I FIND OUT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE OFFLINE VOICE!!! Nice way of trying to pull more money out of us. Upsetting how apps like this are pre-included on Macs but not on iPads. My conclusion? Stay away from this app, unless they change their pricing schemes.
