Voice Reader Text to Speech App Reviews

Not worth the money. Doesnt read textbooks, reading doesnt flow and the format is terrible. 0/10 DO NOT BUY

I found it unexpectedly funny to make the reader say things. Needs a middle American or Canadian voice. The American voice offered has too strong of an accent!

It needs internet connection even if you buy offline voice .

This App is desperately in need of upgrading in order to be compatible with iOS7 as this new operating system overrides the parameters of VoiceReader. HELP!

I have the exactly same voice in my asus tablet but the app name is svox. I wish i was able to do pronunciation correction like svox, also i dont like the start screen.

Easy to use, and works pretty well.

iphone5, ios7.0.2 I like this app very much, however, after updated to iOS7.0.2, I can not input anything to save text. Please resolve the bug!

Good app, but Biggest problem it cant remember place in opened .txt file when you turn off iphone, and each time you start Voice Reader it start reading book from beginning of opened text again. Also pause button dont works often or with big delay. Please fix that.

This update has given to my iphone4 more instability. Is slower in reading a text at a fixed page and sometimes shut the app down. Good improvements unfortunately without a simple bookmark feature instead of a searcing text box. The overall performance worths just a star sorry. Ill reinstall the 2.4.0 version until a morehconvenient one will be posted

A well-done app , but need a function to start readig from the point in text selected by user (And not fw thru the periods )

Lapp è utile e funziona bene. Alcuni problemi di pronuncia degli accenti, spero che possano rimediare col tempo. Sarebbe utile una funzione cerca e sostituisci per riparare quei caratteri pronunciati male. Aggiungere anche la creazione di cartelle e di playlists. The app is useful and works well. Some pronunciation problems of italian accents, I hope they can fix over time. Would be useful a search and replace function to repair those characters mispronounced. Also it would be useful the use of folders and playlists.

Good app but has glitches. Bought off-line voice to record audio but keeps saying there not enough memory. My device has plenty. Also, trying to export audio to email and starts then crashes/app just closes.

by Theophilus The app reads quite well in English and Spanish. The dowloaded voices work well. BUT it doe not have written instructions nor of any kind to manage the text rythm. What does the : mean, the , the ;. That is how can i manage the voice to read with certain rythm.

Best reader Ive found. Doesnt work so well with PDF files that arent formatted in a very simple layout, and acronyms/ abbreviations/ scientific terms are problematic for it. But you can get used to that. If you want a good reader I recommend this one.

I am using this app for supporting my readings. I have purchased the male US voice. Even with their noticeable automated accent, it is very helpful. Given that english is not my mother language, it helps me get used to the right sounds, which I wouldnt if I just read it. Sometimes it helps me keep awake when the reading is too dry...

I listen to PDFs as I take my baby for naps in stroller. Does a pretty good with academic texts (could improve some pronunciation of double meaning words like "content"). Bad at footnotes but Im not sure how this can be improved (slightly different voice for smaller font sizes?) Should recognize dates like 1905 as "nineteenth oh five" instead of "one thousand nine hundred and five." Wish it had "back/forward 15 seconds" function as podcast stuff does. I felt ripped off when, after buying the app I had to buy an offline voice as well (it complained that the text was too long to read with an online voice). That was badly done, for shame.

Voice Reader is great. The Spanish (Mexico) sounds like real human voice. We should be able to read from iBook. GREAT APPLICATION!!!!
